| Regular Season | The Bulldogs returned to their winning ways during the '97-'98 season setting a program record for most wins with 52. Sophomore Chris Smart and senior Nate Stupiansky combined for a record setting season as Smart set a program record for assists with 85. The 256 points the two combined for that year is the most in program history for a single season. Playing in goal for Meadville that year was Vladimir Kulikov, a foreign exchange student from Moscow. Kulikov was brilliant throughout the year, and in June of 1999, Kulikov was taken by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 7th round of the Entry Draft at the age of 18. |
| Post-Season | Meadville advanced to the Western Final against Pittsburgh Central Catholic. On a day where the temperatures were approaching 90 degrees at Rostraver Ice Garden and the ice was brutal, Meadville was outplayed all game by the Vikings and lost 6-1. PCC lost the following week to LaSalle in the state title game. |
