The Bulldogs lost nine seniors from the '88-'89 team and it showed early on as the team struggled. However, led by captain Mark Chandley's goaltending the team improved throughout the year and by season's end was playing well. However, the injury bug bit hard as on consecutive Monday nights late in the season the team lost Todd McClay to a fractured arm and a week later, Tom Nuzback was lost with a serious head injury. |

For a team that had little depth, losing two key players hurt and they lost to Upper St. Clair in the Western Final. Malvern Prep went on to defeat USC the following week. |
